Seem like after all these years the author still hasn’t made up his mind on what type of MC he is going to write; classic shonen MC(who’s strong and keep getting stronger, but in a normal pace, still struggle fighting against equally strong villain)  or new trend of OP MC(who’s overwhelmingly strong and easily roflstomp strong villains without much effort; eg: One Punch Man, Isekai MC, etc)

Just look at the repeated pattern of recent chapters… the MC keep pull out new OP skills out of nowhere / acquired it off screen. Few panels later, the author introduce new random super strong villains who easily neutralize those OP skills with their own lame skills. Is he OP or not? What’s the point of all those new skills if they’re so easily defeated?

Yeah, that’s one of the reasons why I don’t enjoy isekai manga and manhua as much. One Punch Man works, because it’s funny and consistent - Saitama always defeats everyone with a single hit and is just unbeatable.

Isekai manga/manhua pretend like they’re about growth and the MC overcoming challenges, but that growth is just a series of ass-pulls with no foreshadowing. The story ends up being flat.

I’ve stopped reading this around 200 or so chapter.
back then all the OP do is farming item.
raise, int and mana and so on back and forth for hundreds chapters.

      it’s just stupid.
the MC is childish and the story is boring.
still wonder how he managed this far.
      are readers stupid??

It is stupid before season four, i.e. skip to episode/chapter 201 and do not read and waist your time on chapters before that. It is really stupid. After chpater 201 it gets slightly better and then maintains a readable level.

The Gamer is OP…!!  That’s how he should be..

Now please don’t ruin it with another monologue implying he is now “almost as strong” or “finally become slightly stronger than” his loli master, his school teacher that can summon monster, his friends, etc. No, he isn’t. By power shown, Han Ji Han clearly has FAR surpassed those guys.

The problem with this manhwa/webtoon is that the writer being inconsistent.

In one hand we’ve been shown how OP the MC is (and still keep grow even stronger) and keep spamming new OP skills out of nowhere each chapters.  Han Ji Han supposed to be a cheat character with his “Gamer” skill who can acquire new skill instantly when normal people need years/decades to master, and he use his skill really well to collect lots of high level skills, leveled them up, combine some of them, and after 200s chapters he has grow REALLY strong now.

On the other hand, the writer keep reminding us that the MC is still more inferior to those regular ‘strong’ characters(without cheat skill) from earlier chapters.  By feats shown, clearly Han Ji Han should have already far surpass his teachers, his friend’s sister, etc.  How can he still fail to outgrow those ‘strong’ characters from earliest chapters. What’s the point of all of his leveling up then. Is he an OP character or not?
